I am a college student (age 22) that wanted to find my girlfriend a nice Christmas gift. My first experience when walking into the Diamond Center in Janesville was two saleswoman behind the counter giving me very clear judgmental looks while giggling under their breath. One of these woman was very rude when I approached the counter looking for assistance and she simply walked away as I neared, likely assuming that I did not have the funds to satisfy her commission needs. The other was friendly after we spoke for a bit and was helpful in helping me find an item that I liked.
Felt judged by both sales people walking into the store and could tell that they did not take me seriously because of my age, ended up purchasing a nice necklace from another store later that day based on the negative experience I had at the Diamond center even though I did find an item that I liked there and would have happily purchased prior to the initial feeling of judgement and distaste as I walked into the store.
