The Elara is by far one of the nicest hotels I've stayed in. We stayed in a junior suite and it was a nice size for the 3 of us girls.
Front desk staff was very friendly and provided us with complimentary bottled water. Loved that we had a kitchenette area with a mini fridge, sink, microwave and various kitchen items. We mainly treated it like a bar for our trip. The living room and bedroom both had nice size TVs and huge windows with automatic shades. The bed was beyond comfy! Felt like I was sleeping on a cloud! I could get this bedset for my own bed. My friend that slept on the couch thought the pullout mattress was thin and gross looking so she just slept on top of the couch and thought it was OK.
Loved that the hotel is attached to the Miracle Mile shops and Planet Hollywood. Easy access restaurants and shopping is always a plus in my book!
The reason I'm taking 1 star away is we noticed after day 2 that neither of our rooms had been serviced. On day 3 we finally called and they told us that they only service rooms that have 5 day reservations. Never in my life heard of a hotel not servicing rooms because you didn't stay long enough, so by the end of our stay we had trash overflowing and had to call multiple times for new towels. Pretty gross and was pretty annoyed by the end.
Self checkout was easy and stress free. All we had to do was drop our keys in a box and fill out a card. All in all I'd consider staying here again but the no service thing was a big turnoff and there are other hotels I'd love to checkout next time I come.
