  • I am now calling them the "Shady " Plumbers rather than Sunny Plumbers. I had a blockage in my sewage pipe and called them out to roto root. When they arrived they said it would cost 289.00 which I thought was high because my husband had rented a machine and done it himself before for 40.00 but I decided to go ahead when they told me they would run a camera down there to see why this keeps happening. They advised this was also for their records if I choose to have any work done. While running the camera they found there was a break in the fitting that connects my line with the city line. At that time I asked them if this could be the cities responsibility and they assured me that the city WOULD NOT take care of this because of the location of the break. The advised me the cost of this spot repair and to hydro jet the pipe would be 3,995.00. The next day I decided to call the city and ask them about it anyway and they offered to send someone out to look at the location but if it was their responsibility they would just need a copy of the DVD that the plumbers had from the camera. When I called the "shady" plumbers to ask for this DVD they said they did not have it that they had not recorded it. When I asked what they would charge to come back out to make a copy for the city they advised me 385.00!!!! And again advised me that the city WOULD NOT take care of this. When I told the city this they told me that was a ridiculous amount of money and they sent someone right out and advised me that the break WAS on their side and WAS their responsibility. They sent a plumber out and made the DVD that they needed and have set the appointment for me. It seems that the city where I live has an easement and they are responsible up to that point. It is much farther into my yard then you would think. I am furious that these plumbers flat out lied to me. They gave me false information that could have cost me 4,000.00 if I had listened to them. I almost didn't call the city because they were adamant that this was my responsibility. Even if they were not certain they should have advised me to call the city before charging me that kind of money. If you have any question if it is the cities responsibility or not it is worth the call, they do not charge to come out and let you know. I would never use or trust this company again.
