I was surprised that a hotel located in the heart of the strip could be so average. I arrived at 2pm and learned that there was a $30 early check in fee. I guess this is a common practice in Vegas. I found this unusual since you can usually check in at most hotels in bigger cities without an issue. The entire hotel is ok. Nothing special which makes it stand out compared to the other bigger hotels in the area. My room was in the Mardi gras tower which is in major need of a renovation. My room was dated and the hallways were dark. To be fair everything in my room was clean albeit old. Things worked as expected. Overall, i wasn't impressed by Harrahs. I would recommend staying in one of the other updated towers instead.
