| - Had a wonderful staycation at the Mandarin this past week. They are able to keep a peaceful atmosphere by not having a casino, but they are so close to everything that you still get the benefit of eating at fancy restaurants, shopping at luxurious stores, and gambling if you choose to.
Upon check-in, my husband and I were offered bottled water. The front desk clerk also made sure to explain the separate elevators to get to the rooms (got lost anyway, lol), gave times for complimentary morning coffee/tea, and which floor significant places were (such as the pool, spa, gym, restaurants). She even offered to give us a walk through of our room.
Before our stay, I sent an e-mail asking for the mini fridge to be emptied before our arrival. They quickly responded back and followed through, yay! I also mentioned in the initial booking note that we were staying for an early birthday celebration for me. A few minutes after getting to our room, the door bell rang and I was greeted with a cute birthday treat--fondant covered rice crispy treat topped with chocolate mousse, and gold details with a birthday greeting to me. Super delicious.
I got a very basic room (cityscape room) and it was still so perfect. Soft bed, oversized tub, blackout shades.. Writing this review is making me miss it already!
Everything was wonderful, the spa, the pool, the gym, the employees. They also offer free classes for their guests (yoga, pilates, circuit training, etc.). You can find a schedule right when you walk into the gym. Also, be sure to purchase a "golden coin" for $20 to experience their mini moet champagne vending machine. Can't wait for my next stay!
