  • The west side of Madison forward management is one to avoid. Tami was really the only manager who is very responsive, kind, and well organized. The apartments (including brand new) are very cheaply made. Handles falling off the doors, windows broken, all when you move in. Be sure to take photo and video evidence when you move in and when you move out. The managers and consultants never know what they are doing, and prefer to just charge you late fees or extra from your security deposit for their own problems. They are especially rude and unhelpful, especially after you move out. They don't return calls or call you upon request, only vague emails. When they come to show your apartment they also give you a time frame, yet come earlier than they said they would because they can't tell time. They also don't enforce their own policies, if you report anything, they don't do anything about it. Don't expect to get your security deposit back because they use scammy cleaners who over exaggerate. If you cleaned the place spotless they will write that it is filthy all over your check out form and charge you $500+ in cleaning. I lived with them for multiple years yet they had no appreciation for tenants who don't cause problems and don't destroy the apartments. They are lazy, incompetent, and money hungry. Update: Kristin is very unhelpful and snooty. Appears to be up high on her horse and treats residents like inferiors..HAHA. I've also experienced horrible neglect from management who ignore multiple follow ups from serious maintenance requests and it is well over a month with 3 emails to different management and I still have a huge issue with my brand new apt. I am never living with this sh*t hole run company ever again.
