  • Never rent from shelter realty. First off they are rude to you when you call about any maintenance issues. Second, when you move out they don't let you do the walk thru with them. Then they charge you for the most ridiculous things! They charged us $45 to replace lightbulbs when no lights were burnt out when we left. We paid to get the house professionally cleaned AND the carpets professionally cleaned before moving out. They charged us over $300 to do it again. They are not specific at all about the work they had to do on the house, and then charged us $75 for 'adjustments' (see 3rd from last item in picture). If you want people to be rude to you when you need anything, and to be nickel and dimed when you move out, then use this company. Other than that, I would stay far away. Oh I would also like to mention that they conveniently "lost" our move in inspection sheet we turned in to them at move in. The last few items on the list were reported on that sheet at move in, but they still charged us. Very shady company.
