We had been here once before for drinks and it was great. The menu was intriguing so we planned to come again for dinner.
We made reservations and gave the food a shot. As a bar, this place is wonderful for drinks, conversation, and for watching pretty people. The food was not bad - slightly above average pub food. Interesting menu (we started with the cold avocado and cucumber soup and the pork cheek) but our mains were less impressive. My burger was fine but my husband's roast beef was disappointingly skimpy on the beef. A lot of mashed potatoes though. Sunday roast is a sacred English tradition, people! Next time I want to see thick slabs of bleeding meat.
