| - My boyfriend and I found this place when walking around Kensington Market. We were hungry and looking for a quick, easy breakfast so this seemed just right.
It is a small spot with a homely feel. It has a very welcoming feel, and both indoor and outdoor seating. I was smiling as soon as we walked in. :)
Everything on the menu looked delicious, but as soon as I saw the Veggie Twist, it didn't take long for me to choose that. The toasted 9 grain bagel I requested came with pesto mayo, avocado, brie, arugula, and red onions. The component that really sold me on this speciality sandwich was the pesto mayo! YUM! The overall taste was fantastic, although I do wish the bagel had been better toasted. It would have helped to hold everything together.
My boyfriend got a toasted everything bagel with scallion cream cheese, pastrami, and onions. He seemed pretty content with his order as well.
The only thing holding me back from a five star review are the prices! When the cashier rang up our order for our two bagels and one bottled beverage (Vanilla and Spiced Pear), I was shocked when we were told it came out to almost $30! Far more than any bagels I've had before.
While we were both very pleased with the atmosphere and delicious bagels, I can't help but think the prices are just way too steep. If I lived in the area, I would probably return again, but only if I'm looking to indulge on a speciality bagel. Can't see myself becoming a regular here.
