  • I stayed in room 1240 with one King bed at $220 per night on a July 2015 weekend with a southwest view. Here is the pros and cons of this hotel from my experience. Cons: 1. No free Wifi. It is $13 per day. 2. Poor sound proof insulation. I can hear and follow conversation in hallway and next room. 3. Inconsistent water pressure. 4. Old design room, but decent in size. 5. No microwave. 6. Max AC setting do not seem cold enough. 7. No community sauna in hotel. 8. No master light switch. Need to turn each off individually. 9. Hotel bar and restaurant is mediocre. Walk to downtown or Old Montreal for a better meal. Pros: 1. Located at city center. 20ish minutes walking from Old Quebec and the pier. 2. Train station and underground shops are in the basement of the hotel. Train direct to Quebec City at $120 per person. 3. Downtown attractions and shops are within four blocks away. 4. Comfortable bed and linen. 5. Helpful, friendly, and knowledgable staff. 6. Plumbing noise behind wall once in awhile even when bathroom not in use.
