  • Wow! Just read that my favourite game store is leaving the downtown core for 2782 Yonge St., which is a 10 minute walk south of Lawrence station or the same distance north of Eglington station., and not at all convenient to me. I understand if condo development is pushing them out of their current location, but you can't tell me that Lawrence is the closest affordable rent they could find. They are abandoning their current customers, most of whom come because such a great place is a short walk or TTC ride from their dorm or condo, to a midtown location surrounded by single family homes. Unfortunately, I still have 2 games on order from them and will have to make the trek at least once to pick them up. Fortunately, there are other game store options in the core for me, like Meeple Mart on Spadina and Snakes and Lattes's locations. Bye bye 401 Games!
