I went to paradise last night for my monthly book club and decided to order some tea and a cookie. After waiting for someone to help me at the bakery register, I asked what types of tea they had. The response I got was 'That's a good question. They're behind you.' I know this isn't the highest class joint in town but I would expect the employees to have a little bit of familiarity with the offerings. So I order my tea and get the cup and the cookie I order, and go to the self serve station behind me to find that the hot water is completely empty and has a sign that it hasn't been filled since 2 PM (It's 6:45 at this point). So after another wait to get the attention of the same employee, the manager comes and fills the cup with hot water and I'm off to enjoy my tea.
Now I know Panera and Paradise are owned by the same company, but I could never imagine having the same experience at a Panera. I will still go to this location for my monthly book club but it will probably be a while before I order another snack beforehand. I certainly won't go here to get a meal as the lines are always long and employees are fairly unresponsive.
