  • I had to check through all of my reviews twice because I can't believe I haven't reviewed this place already. It's my absolute favourite ice cream shop in Toronto. The vibe: There is no city corner that smells better than Manning and College and that is all thanks to the FRESHLY MADE WAFFLE CONES at The Big Chill whose smells ooze into the city streets tempting everyone who passes by. I don't know if I really need to say more than FRESHLY MADE WAFFLE CONES, but I will, just because I love this place so much. It's an adorable, old school style ice cream shop with loads of outdoor seating to enjoy. The food: ICE CREAM! SUNDAES! SPLITS! COOKIES! ICE CREAM SANDWICHES! MILKSHAKES! All of the really good things. All of the things that make me believe that heaven exists. There are so many flavours, and the waffle cones are a delight. Often, they'll still be warm and soft. Does it get better than that? My go to meal: Caribou tracks in a waffle cone. A vanilla based ice cream with little peanut butter cups. Secret: Say yes to whipped cream & the little Oreo cookie on top, would ya? Also, cash only!
