The first half of the year was adequate. Management was receptive to our needs and responded to maintenance issues. After the "honeymoon" period ended it started to go downhill. The building was built horribly and with people walking above us it felt like elephants were stampeding. When the people next to us watched tv it sounded like the apartment was crashing in. Then they kept forgetting about our maintenance requests. When we moved our we left the apartment cleaner than when we moved in. We never received a bill for any repairs that needed to be done until two months later my husband received a bill from a collector telling us we owed some $200 dollars. Upon further inquiry they charged us $80 to patch holes from our curtain rods (holes that were there when we moved it!) and an additional $100 to patch the carpet that needed to be replaced before we moved anyway. Regardless we payed a nonrefunable pet deposit when we moved in to cover things like the carpet being scratched. My husband went into the icu the weekend we moved in so we never got a chance to take pictures prior to moving in. Take pictures to contest issues later! We moved in with the mindset of not having to move for abother several years but we started packing boxes before the year ended. Glad to be out of there! There are many other apartments in Charlotte I would recommend before living here ever again.
