  • This hair salon may not look like the trendy hair studio from the outside, but looks can be deceiving. If you want proof, their Instagram profile tells a different story (instagram.com/tantrumhairsalon). First of all, Heather is the greatest hairstylist ever. She stays on top of all the latest trends and is constantly taking classes in NYC and LA and entering competitions to perfect her craft. The only thing is, she doesn't have a lot of openings, so consider yourself special if you can get in to see her. Also Beth, Callie, and the owner, Mack, are also great choices if you're lucky enough to get an appointment with them, as well... I know that Mack chooses only the best stylists, so I really don't think you could go wrong with anyone here. Plus, there aren't any of those catty shenanigans happening here, like you witness at a lot of other salons. I've been coming here for a few years and I haven't heard anyone gossip or say anything negative about their coworkers or clients (ironically, no tantrums here!). It's a positive environment you can FEEL when you walk in. It says a lot that I'm willing to drive 30-40 minutes from my house to go here, when I pass probably 20 salons on the way. Oh and they also sell my faves--Bumble & Bumble, Moroccan Oil, and Goldwell, all in the same place, so it's easy to stock up when I go in.
