I ventured to this cozy little establishment to meet a visiting friend for a catch up dinner. As per usual I was chronically early for our 7pm reservation but the host was kind enough to seat me at one of the many open tables early. He even asked if I had a preference, which was an appreciated touch.
During my wait for my friend someone came to fill our water glasses and ordered a glass of wine (sorry folks no Wednesday night drink specials - which surprised me). I did not see my usual pinot noir on the menu so I selected a syrah which was a decent substitution.
When my friend arrived and we were ready to order we selected Pimientos Rellenos (stuffed roasted peppers) and Pulpo (octopus) to share and she also got a salad. Both were delicious and hearty enough that I felt full just splitting the two options. They also brought bread which was okay. The bread was the only strange part of the experience - they waited until my dining companion arrived to serve it even though it didn't come out warm. I would have appreciated the snack while I reviewed the menu but perhaps they only give out one per table and didn't want me to hog it all before my companion arrived?
This quiet intimate restaurant looks like a great place for date night and I will happily return to try more of their menu.
