I found my self here for breakfast and it was packed so waiting was going happen if I wanted in. The place is an Art Deco theme from a lost general that you don't see anymore and I liked it.
Waiting must be part of the dining experience because there were tons of out door seating with people waiting to get in. I never even looked at the menu because there is a weekend special of biscuits and gravy.
Service was on the slow side but every seat was in service and the place was busy. I ordered the biscuits and gravy weekend special which came in a timely manner given how busy they were. The plate looked pretty good as you can see in my pictures. While waiting for my food I noticed that they grind the Coffey beans for the fresh Coffey they serve.
The meal was a home made biscuit with fire roasted pepper gravy, two eggs and breakfast potatoes. The eggs were perfect sunny side up. The potatoes were fried and tender but not seasoned so a little salt was needed. I didn't know what to expect of the fire roasted pepper gravy but it worked and it was good. The whole plate was very good and hit the spot.
Over all the breakfast was good and the place is worth the wait for the old school dining experience they offer. I can see why it is so popular with people waiting to get in.
