  • I don't quite get how the Miracle Mile Pink Taco is just *so* much better all around than the infamous Vegas one -- not to mention the additional benefit of being located inside one of Sin City's most notorious hot spots (if you haven't gambled with with the B*tches or seen an episode of Rehab poolside, then you probably don't know what I mean) -- you would naturally assume that THIS location would blow all others out of the water. Nope. In desperate search of something to fill our bellies before exploring the F&F Ball on Halloween eve, the We Don't Hate Fun club sauntered into a half-empty Pink Taco. Snow White, a pirate, the Green Hornet and Cato all got escorted straight to a table, where they were later joined by a boxer, a bumblebee, and Dexter. The first four of us needed something in our bellies before the debauchery of the evening began, so we started off with chips and some VERY watery types of salsa. Three of us ordered shrimp tacos and one ordered fish tacos. A round of margaritas and beers completed our check. The later addition to our party just got some cocktails and a bucket of beers. Small serving of mystery rice, some decent-tasting but generic beans, and two meh-looking eh-sized soft tacos. Shrimp was cooked in a batter that felt like it had been sitting under a heat lamp for some time, the accompanying "sauce" in it only served the purpose of cooling it down unnecessarily (along with too much cabbage), and there wasn't enough shrimp or fish tucked away inside to justify paying as much as we did per plate. The true highlight of the meal was the delicious tortilla, but even toward the end of our meal that started getting a bit chewy. To add insult to injury, our waitress was more of the "two-minute differential" if you know what I mean. She was lovely, and nice, but it took her about 120 seconds to process anything that she was told. It definitely made for a great beginning to the rest of the tripped out evening. Drinks were meh, service was meh (although our waters were always filled, thanks guys!), ambience was meh, food was meh, generally speaking it was all meh. I've for sure experienced better.
