| - I ordered an item in March 2014, I received the item in May 2014. The box it arrived in was heavily damaged and had prices ripped out of it. The item I ordered was a medical device. When I opened it there were no instructions on how to use it (which are required under the law for medical devices), so I went by what I could find online, when I unwrapped it there was what appeared to be cookie crumbs all over it, dirt and other debris. The face of the lamp was covered in scratches (every inch of the item had scratches on it) and there were gouges out of the frame and the back of it. This was advertised as a new item not a broken, used item. I plugged it in to charge and after a few days of this it would still not turn on. I emailed this issue to customer service at Dealathons, they stated that I would be required to pay to ship it back to them for a replacement and that they could only exchange and not refund it. They promised to send me a replacement, one month later I received nothing, I emailed again and was told they were out of stock and they would mail me a replacement once it was back in (which they stated was 5-8 days). It had already been 100 days since I ordered it, so my credit card company would not refund me. Every month I've emailed again to ask where my item was and I've asked repeatedly for a refund. It's now been 10 months and they are still telling me they will send it when they get stock, yeah right. I submitted a complaint through the bbb. Dealathons should have given me a refund months ago but they refused. If you buy an item from them and it's damaged do not send it back to them, call your credit card company first and file a dispute.
