| - Haven't been to Malee's in way too long. We used to hit the one at Desert Ridge way back when, but don't get to Old Town Scottsdale that often.
Anyway, let's get onto what you're looking for - is it a good place to get your Thai food fix?
Yes!!!
Start with the Tom Ka Gai soup - my wife's all time favorite. Even better if you order it in the evening - because it's served in a flaming tureen. Good visual, and GREAT flavor. Make sure to have them tell you about the three things you may find in the soup that are for flavor, but not for eating (lemon grass, galanga root, and kaffir lime leaves, IIRC) - don't think they'd hurt you, but if you can chew them, you're a stud!
My favorite Thai dish is always the Panang curry - a spicy/sweet/wonderful red curry. You can choose your protein (including vegetarian, if that floats your boat - I prefer beef).
The Crispy Basil Chicken is AMAZING as well. Really great flavor! (Off the dinner menu - it's different on the lunch menu, and not as spectacular).
If you're itching for seafood, try the Crispy Pla.
Nice local place. Good food. Good service. Great pick in Old Town Scottsdale!
