  • If I could give no stars at all I would. I filled out the application 100 percent honestly, then included an email explaining that I am building a house and expect to move off base by December 15th. I wanted to see if I could meet this particular dog and work towards an adoption, bringing him home to the new house. The response was the most condescending email that I have received from ANY organization with whom I am doing business. It started with quoting AFIs (Air Force Regulations) that say I am not allowed to have a doberman on base. I explicitly stated in my email that I wanted to do the right thing and wait until moving to integrate the dog in my family. It further stated how they refuse to do business with me because I couldn't have the dog on base (AGAIN, never said that was the plan). It finally ended with how their organization would "NOT introduce dobies to applicants until they have become fully approved, which includes a home visit". So here's my thing, I emailed politely and put my exact situation on the table. I received the most belittling and condescending response. Guess what? If you actually cared about your dogs, you would treat potential homes a lot better. We would have gone through whatever background and visits it took. We were further going to offer weekend visits and complete funding of food and vet bills until our house was ready. This dog missed out and it was entirely on the shoulders of Pat. I am truly sorry for every single one of those dogs who could be in a good home but were denied the opportunity.
