| - If I was able to see this show in its first year, I probably would have giving it a different review. But since this is the first time I'm seeing it, I have to put this in the average magic show category. Don't get me wrong, Criss Angel is one of the best magicians out there. Unfortunately his, newly revamped Vegas show Believe, came short on giving it a better review.
From my understanding, when this show first came out, it was a bit twisted, and had more Cirque du Soleil style to it. I would of like to see that part of the show, when it comes down to Cirque du Soleil. Since they took some of the Cirque du Soleil style out of it, I'm still wondering, why are they still calling it Cirque du Soleil? Cause to me, there wasn't much acrobatic feel to it, like other Cirque shows in Vegas.
It also fell, kind of, short in the magical field. Cause quite honestly, its like he's recycling some of his tricks, that we already seen on TV, but adding a new twist in it. But, the outcome is still the same as what you see on the TV show MINDFREAK.
As for the theater, it was a very nice setting. We did get the cheapest seats in the house, which was in the back row. But, the staff was really nice, not only did we get an upgrade, we got a double upgrade, sort of. The seats that we bought, was set in the far back row of the theater. The usher, sat us near the front row of that back section. About 15 minutes before the show started, they came back and moved us a bit closer. So that was very nice of them, to bring us that close.
I am a big fan of Criss Angel TV show Mindfreak. But the so called Cirque du Soleil show Believe, is like watching a live version of the TV show, with some odd jokes here in there.
I would recommend this, if you are a fan of Criss Angel's work. But when it comes down to Cirque du Soleil, I would probably suggest, not to get your hopes up to high about it. I probably would suggest to leave the kids at home. Cause he does tend to use foul language and gestures, not suitable for kids.
