  • Looking to sample some of the DT PHX beer scene. I can't believe how much the Valley of Sun has changed since my last visit to my old adopted hometown a few years back. A local recommended this place, so I thought I'd see what the fuss was about. First thing is, the space here is awesome! I came on an off time (after the lunch rush on a weekday) so I practically had it to myself. They have a lot of beer options as well as some interesting food options. I'm a sucker for reubens, so I had their duck pastrami offering. It was decent and the duck was actually done really well, I just wish there had been more of it. It just did not blow me away and was served a little dry (though I like my reubens to be dripping w/dressing). I also was not blown away by the beers I had in my sampler. With 1200 beers documented on my UnTappd tally, I'm no stranger to a good pint. Nothing here was bad, per se, there just wasn't anything mindblowing, unique, or overly memorable. It was a nice stop and I'm glad I did, but I don't know that for the price point I'd go out of my way to come back if and when I'm ever coming through PHX again.
