  • I could eat here 3 Times a day, 7 Days per week. There is no better Poke place in the state of Arizona. They have Incredible selection, their sauces are the best in the industry( try the house spicy), they give you the most food and fish for your money and have the best topping options/ combinations. I drive 40 minutes across town to eat here at least once per week and in doing so I drive past 2 "Ahi Poke Bowls"(one of which is across the street from my house) 1 "Poki Bar" (not to be confused with the place I'm currently writing about), 1 "Ocean aside Poke co" (which is by far the worst poke I've ever had.) and lastly a place called "coconuts" which serves good poke but nothing like this. Every friend I have taken here now asks that it be the place we usually meet (even the ones who don't like poke or raw fish. My girlfriend would rather go here than for a $250 meal at orange sky for our anniversary. I'll list the nuanced reasons I love this place below as well as what I order so you can fall obsessively in love with this magnificent restaurant. Note: if you order poorly(like without sauce) you might be able to mess up your experience. Not because the food is bad, but because you will be lacking the depth of flavor that comes from a proper mixture. My friends all now order like me too. They tried it once and learned. Here we go. 1. Get rice. (Doesn't matter white or brown you choose. 2. Get all the scoops of the tuna luau or Hawaiian tuna or whichever one is all mixed with the sauce. You'll thank me later. 3. Doesn't matter if you get the sesame oil. If you want the extra fat go for it, it doesn't add much flavor. 4. The chopped kale is now a salad base. Get it. They will give you as much as you'd like. 4 scoops is my usual. 5. Add whatever else you'd like from this section of sides but I recommend edamame and green onions. 6*** Ask them to douse it in the House spicy. It will be spicy. It will burn so good, but you want to make sure the "douse it". Also ask them to put house spicy or house sauce on the rice. This is a game changer. Give that rice some flavor. Just know the house spicy will be spicier on the hot rice than on anything else. 7. Next stage... I get 2 crab scoops here because I want my moneys worth( no extra charge for 2) but if you like cucumber you can add that here as well as in the previous toppings stage. I also get tons of ginger cause I could eat ginger alone for lunch. But I'm strange like that. I promise if you order the above you will not be disappointed. List of the things I Love about this place. 1. It has the best flavor of Poke places I've tried. (I've tried a lot including in Hawaii) 2. They don't skimp in volume. You get more fish and pretty much unlimited toppings here so the value is great, portions are large and I feel I get my money's worth. 3. Staff are super friendly and efficient so the line out the door, is not a deterrent for me. 4. They keep the place cool in the summer and are conscious of how the arrangement of the dish affects fish temperature. I think that level of food sensitivity is amazing. Basically they keep the hot rice apart from the cold fish. 5. The staff are friendly. My only complaint here is that they won't sell me a bottle of their sauce. I would eat pretty much anything with their sauce on it. I promised I'd still come in weekly but I guess they don't want anybody reverse Engineering it and I completely understand why. 6. Parking is ample. I've never had trouble getting a spot in this lot.
