  • Like any salon, it's really about your stylist. I had a great one in Melanie, so over the last year I overlooked the problems that were happening at American Male since I gave a 5 star review in 2015. The chair my stylist used leaned down to the left and the owner never fixed, one of the shampoo chairs was broken and inoperable for a number of months, pictures leaned up against the window, etc. It became apparent that the owner was not spending $ on basic upkeep and I could tell many of the stylists were unhappy with the sloppy environment. I tried a new salon this month and won't be going back to American Male.
