Very rarely do I post regarding a company or service provider as I figure I'm paying for that companies product or that service and I should be getting what I'm paying for more or less. Every once in awhile though, someone goes the extra mile or spends extra time to provide me with exceptional service or goes beyond the scope of their duty to make me happy. CHARLES and AZ Generator deserves a good positive review and much more.
About 8 months ago I bought a new RV in Arizona. I live in Southern California and purchased out of state because of greed and nonsense the dealers put you thru in my
home state. Shortly after purchasing the RV I began to have problems with my Onan 5500 Generator and made the long tow from Calif to Arizona for warranty repair. Charles was the tech that repaired my gen. He ended up fixing multiple issues, one of which was an assembly problem from the factory causing the gen to not get fuel because of a kinked fuel line. He thought the problem was fixed and I took the coach back to California. A short time later I began having a different issue with the gen and took it back to Charles to deal with. He diagnosed the problem and changed the carburetor. I took the coach home and on my next camping trip, ran into the same generator problem but with a different trouble code. I notified Charles and he walked me thru different adjustments and was extremely patient. He answered a ton of my dumb questions and never made me feel that I was bothering him.
When he determined that the new carburetor he just installed probably had a bad float, he offered to come to me. He's 3.5 hours away and was more concerned about fixing my problem and making me happy than the distance or personal cost to him. You just don't get that kind of service these days. At least I don't.
Charles is a very nice person and truly cares about his customers. Anyone else would have told me to bring the coach back or find someone closer to my area to obtain warranty repairs. But I trusted him and only wanted one hand in the pot. Nobody else would have cared but he recognized that I had already spent quite a lot of money getting the RV to him for warranty repair and was willing to help me out by making the trip himself.
I just want to personally thank Charles and AZ Generator for their attention to detail. This is a guy that knows his business and is willing to educate you and help you maintain your equipment where others want you in and out as fast as possible so they can move onto the next job.
