  • Being true to my own advice, I gave Bluphies and second try. Having looked at the brunch menu, and finding it a little more enticing, I swung by looking to reevaluate my precious stance as Bluphies being a disappointment. The verdict is I would say an upgrade from a 2 to a 3.51... so a 4 star rating it is In short the food I ordered was much much better than the first time around. Specifically I really enjoyed the fondue with marinated pears. They were a wonderful treat, one I hope to enjoy again and again. Get the fondue appetizer next time your at bluphies!!!! The other things ordered and were served with good presentation and flavor was the crab Benedict, stuffed french toast with blueberry compote. So good job Bluphies, much better second time round! The not so great was still the dessert. We ordered the chocolate cake :( I love chocolate but that was unappealing to me. Although it looks great it's way too sweet (and I don't mean rich) and thick. Next time I'll just stick to the main courses/appetizers and leave the desserts to other patrons.
