We found this place and saw that they offered free meals to kids on certain days so we instantly got attracted to it. Any kid friendly restaurant and advertises for it is a plus for us.
When we walked in, the hostess was chatting with other guests, the wait was five mins... My husband had to speak to the bar tender to find out if we can just seat ourselves, we actually almost left. After being seated, the server ( petite with orange hair - Saturday shift at 7:30p ) approached to get our drinks and gave our little one his activity stuff. She looked very tired but still attentive, mediocre - not friendly or entertaining, just there to fill a shift. Food came after about 15mins since we wanted it all together. My miso soup was not even warm so I asked to replace with "hot" miso soup. The server seemed very apologetic, (she was very attentive the entire time) and got another one. Whoever the cook was ( cant call that chef ) seemed to just have poured boiling hot water on the soup. It tasted like hot water with a minuscule hint of miso so I returned it after I asked both my son and hubby if they wanted it ( they both said yuck ).
The rolls we ordered were alright, nothing I will come back too .. The last roll was loose, the cooks lack pride in making them.
I have tried better and more artistic seaweed salad before. The only good taste was the steak but my hubby ended up with stomach pains and major bathroom breaks after. They need to be wiser in choosing chefs because it can definitely make or break you.
Restaurant was clean, bathroom had broken seat cover holders.. Seemed like someone yanked it. I love the chandelier in the bathroom though. Place seemed empty for a Saturday. I don't think this place will last unless it is turned around because location is great and there is potential.
