This was my first visit to Cookie and a Cupcake since they moved to this location. It's definitely more spacious than the previous location. It's clean with a cute mural on one wall. The gentleman working there was very friendly when we stopped in for ice cream (which used to be at Churned on the other side of Lincoln Park). I appreciated the flavors because they were familiar but had an extra twist. I tried the chocolate malt and brown butter with lavender brittle. The chocolate flavor ended up being a little too strong for me, but the brown butter was like eating some ooey and gooey out of the oven - but cold. The texture of the ice cream was very creamy and the portion size was appropriate. It seemed like the only options were to get two scoops or a pint. I would prefer to have some options, but again for two scoops, it was just enough. I've had their cupcakes before as well. They are very good although I find that there is too much frosting. I would return if we are in the Tremont area and in the mood for ice cream. However, the new location is a bit of a walk from my favorite restaurants (great in the summer, I wouldn't do it in the winter). I still need to try their cookies so I guess I will be going back at some point!
