  • It's been awhile since I've been to a full-blown concert. Despite my background in Radio and attending shows all the time, The Princess isn't one for crowds so we rarely go to shows together, let alone stadium or arena shows. I've been threatening to go to Brad Paisley for years and the stars finally aligned for us to attend the January 27th show at Gila River Arena, the Weekend Warrior Tour with Lindsay Eli, Chase Bryant, and Dustin Lynch. Dinner at Siam took a touch longer than expected so we missed Lindsay and Chase (although they performed with Brad later during his show). Paisley is a guitar god, one-of-a-kind talent. Shreds his numerous guitars, interacts with the crowd, and truly provides you your money's worth. I was blown away by how awesome Gila River Arena is. I'm not a hockey fan so have had little opportunity to get into this venue and feel like I've missed out on a first-rate concert hall. The staff was fantastic, the food varied, seating was terrific, parking is well thought out (although you do have to pay). The arena is at the south end of West Gate entertainment district and what a cool area, great vibe, plenty to choose from to eat or drink, and close to home for those of us on the west side. I'll definitely be back for another show very soon!
