| - I ate here recently and was very impressed
To start, we shared the braised beef short ribs
What impressed me was that they already brought the dish out seperated into 2 even portions so we did not have to share from 1 bigger plate in the middle
This type of service and attention to detail is always appreciated
Although the meat was tender and the risotto was very nice and different, I wouldn't order this dish again
The portion of meat is very small and it tastes as if just braised in a tomato/stew-type sauce
I was more impressed with the risotto than the meat
However, the entrees were just delicious!
I have the Black Farfalle with lobster ($35 - their most expensive pasta)
This dish is perfect
The pasta seems to be cooked in a lobster broth and tastes of lobster, which was just amazing
Also, they don't overpower it with sauce
There is a dusting of basil breadcrumbs, which are delicious and the pasta and lobster are tossed in a basil, chopped tomato, garlic butter concoction
This is a perfect pasta dish - lobster is tender and meaty, pasta is cooked perfectly, the basil and tomato and garlic go so well
The garlic is even thinly shaved (this reminded me of Goodfellas - if you've ever seen the movie, perhaps you remember how one of the characters would shave the garlic with a razor so thinnly that they said the garlic melted in the oil)
My boyfriend had the black cod, which he thoroughly enjoyed
The fish was cooked perfectly, with a great crispy skin
Unfortunately we didn't have dessert (too full) but I would definitely return and try another pasta creation!
