This is a higher end dentist so be prepared. I've been going to Dr. Harrell for 3 years now. I have always had excellent service from my dentist and hygienist which is why I keep going back. Let's just say I was born with bad teeth genes and maintaining a good relationship with a dentist is important to me since everyone always tells me I have a beautiful smile and they'd never know how much work I've had done.
So, back to Dr. Harrell...the seats are all equipped with personal tv glasses so you can watch TV during a cleaning or movies for longer procedures. They have a good list of movies and since it's Adult Dentistry they have movies that adults enjoy.
So the downside..well let's just say you get what you pay for. Like many of the other dentists I looked at in the Ballantyne area this practice is not a preferred provider for any dental insurance. You are expected to pay (Visa/MC accepted) at the end of the appointment for any work and the lovely office coordinator Janice files all your insurance paperwork. If work is done that is higher than your insurance's reimbursement policy you don't get back the full amount you paid. If that is a concern then find another dentist. I have Guardian and my friend has Aetna. His always reimbursed the full amount, mine would not reimburse for the cost of composite fillings (tooth colored), just amalgam (silver colored) which means I lose about $30 a filling I get.
If you want an office where you are treated like a person even on your first appointment this is the place to go. I never feel like they are rushing me to get me out of there and I am always greeted by name.
