| - A few days ago, my husband and I were in the store to get wiper blades. After purchasing them, he was outside putting them on our vehicle when an AutoZone worker came outside to help. The employee took control, and a minute or so later the employee snapped the wiper back and cracked our windshield in two places. He barely reacted, and acted as if it wasn't a big deal. I went inside to get a manager, and not one staff member in there was apologetic at all that our car had been damaged by an employee, nor was there any sense of urgency to remedy the issue. After whispering amongst themselves, they eventually took our info, and said we would get a call from the manager in a few minutes. Never did. Called the store back that night, and the next day. Was told both times we would hear from the district manager that day. Never did.
It's not so much the windshield that upsets me, because things happen sometimes. But this was handled SO BEYOND POORLY, and I find it appalling and disheartening. Good customer service is such an important part of a successful company, and this is hands down one of the worst experiences I have ever had. We will be placing more calls to AutoZone in hopes of a response, and filing a report with the BBB next. In the meantime, if you are in need of auto parts and looking for excellent, reliable, friendly customer service, you are better off choosing another store.
