rev:text	I spent A LOT of MONEY tonight at the Westin Kierland and it was TERRIBLE. I should never have gone. I wanted to give a special treat to my daughter and her boyfriend who is visiting PHX , my son and my wife who works so hard all year long. But,I am really dumb. I could have saved the $ and the aggravation: We had the WORST meal in Deseo tonight. Got to our reserved table (there were 5 of us reserved) but alas only 4 seats. I stood for about 8 minutes while they got another chair (reminded me of eating in Neidick's in NYC as a kid except the bill was 25 cenbts for an orangeade and hot dog which was far more satisfying than the rubbish we sort of ate tonight). It took 2.5 hours to have a price fixed and menu fixed meal.(How hard could it have been to prepare the few choices that were offered?)It took so long to get served that I developed more gray hair and facial wrinkles between courses. Good soup, good appetizers, AWFUL salad, Lobster main was room temp and tasted like a mistake I once made at home.I didn't say anything initially bec. we had a guest visiting fr. out of state but he (as my dgtr. and wife) did not finish the lobster and he was nauseous. My son and I could not finish our meals either. The deserts were at best OK. I will NOT tell you what the charge was per person, but I was a FOOL to have gone to the Westin and you would be too to eat there.The server was apologetic throughout the meal BECAUSE HE KNEW!!!!!!!!!! They took 20% off my bill after I finally complained to some guy in a jacket.. It hardly compensated for my guest's nausea since we have left. Thankfully I had bought food at Costco earlier in the day and for the others I cooked them some mussels and pasta so they could satiate their appetite. We had eaten at Deseo before but this was no "off" night. Most of the meal would have bested at IN and Out Burger. The "chef", Madrid, needs to taste his own food in the tepid temp it was served over 2.5 hours! (I will supply him with Antacids and medication for nausea. Afterall, I am a doctor!)
