| - I rack it up to the first game of the season, but the right hand doesn't know what the left hand is doing!
We got to the studio early, thinking we would get our bearings.
Well we got into the club section on the second level, but that's were things really started to go sideways.
Security and personal are very friendly, but don't seem to know the stadium real well or not everyone knows the rules.
Our security gal told us about getting in and leaving, all good, but i asked about feeding my children, and we got pointed to a sit down buffet completely the opposite end of the stadium and our seats, and when we got there, the guy at the "door" said we should go the the buffet by our seats, because it's an all you can eat until start of 3rd quarter.
But because we were right above the main fan store and wanted to purchase some jerseys and hats we got directions down to it, and told we could go down an elevator and go directly to it. Well elevator worked, but couldn't go into the main spectator area until 530, it was 510, so here we are stuck in in "man's land". Can't go out unless we want to go thru the security check again, with two kids, and can't get to the fan store to spend money. So we wait, real nice society guy, which made it pleasant. But of course he didn't know what the rules were either, because once the 530 time came, we actually had to wait a couple more minutes for the " official". Okay. Then 50 feet to the fan store, and guess what, can't get in, because they have to clear out all the people in the store that came in from the outside and hadn't cleared security. And God knows how long that would take.
So we wasted 30 minutes for nothing, and i could have fed my children. So off to the buffet by our seats, now we have to find another way back up to the club section, and up the ramp we go.
Get to the buffet, looks good, but not, pay for buffet for two, as the gal was real sweet and said because I've got two kids, only one charge. She gets busy and i ask for some food directly beside the cash registry, and we get the, this food isn't part of the buffet, really, but i already got some of it, a 'slider', and it's a rock hard 'hockey pucks' of a bunch. No slider here.
So buffet has hots dogs chips, mashed potatoes, and a beef style goulash, and a few other things, my son liked the hot dogs(ate 2 because he is starting by now) and my daughter liked the mashed potato's, but that's it.
54 bucks for that. There is no going back for seconds during the game. Oh and we got tokens for ice cream ( drumsticks).
Hopefully my next experience is better, as i am a season ticket holder.
But now i do know the rules and have a better understanding of timing and what not to do.
The next time it will be with clients and buddy's so I'm sure they can't make it that difficult to get beers and hot dogs.
