  • I've never felt compelled to write a Yelp review until now! Every step of the way, the folks at Float were welcoming, knowledgeable, transparent, accommodating and fun. After breakfast, Olivia made time to talk with us individually so we had a chance to learn what a labor of love this business is for her and her partner, Matt. I was inspired by the insanely cool projects they're already working on and the local people and places they've partnered with, as well as Olivia's vision for Float's future. Will definitely be following what they do next! I want to start by mentioning the food because the thought and creativity that went into the meal was incredibly memorable, and the taste matched it. Much of it was local and organic, some even coming from Olivia's own family garden (like the lemons in the Lemon Sunshine Pie and spicy pepper). Our pilot, who had endless knowledge of the desert and flying, began the meal with a toast while Olivia began to prepare the meal table side. She and the crew served everything to us along with stories about where the food came from, how the idea for each dish came to be, how they were prepared, or the many talented local chefs (who are also Olivia and Matt's friends) they worked with to develop them. Meeting up at 5am was made instantly better when we were greeted with Mexican wedding cookies and locally roasted coffee under stringing lights. We took our time to enjoy it, and never felt rushed even when we were loading into the car and preparing to lift off. The crew allowed us to get hands-on with the preparation of the ride, and a photographer took photos that we could purchase afterward. We were in the air for an hour or so, which felt like the perfect amount of time. There were 10 of us in the basket, and while it was cozy, it didn't feel cramped. It just made all of us get to know each other a little bit, which made for a more fun breakfast. I highly recommend Float to anybody, even those like me who are terrified of heights or flying. Everyone from Olivia to the crew paid every attention to detail so that we left feeling like we had just done something we would remember for a long time.
