I came to Heist with some friends for afternoon drinks. I should start off by saying that I am not a beer drinker. So I ordered a mule from the cocktail menu, it was good. Definitely less of a ginger taste than most places but I prefer it that way. My friends each ordered beers, one got the peaches and cream which she liked. I can't remember the name of the other beer.
We ordered the pretzels and beer cheese and oh my gosh. It is a must. My coworkers are big fans of pretzels and cheese so we always order it at company happy hours and out of all the pretzels and beer cheese I've eaten lately I have to say this was by far the best.
The atmosphere is very cool. The tables are high tops and pretty close together, but they overlook the brewing facility which adds a nice touch.
Only bad part of my visit was when a waitress walked by and dropped an open container of ranch that splattered all over us and the table behind us and no one even came over to offer us napkins to wipe it up or to apologize.
I am looking forward to coming back and trying more of the food and drink options -- and brunch!
