  • They pride themselves on Maria Montessori's story of helping children that are special needs. Well, upon signing my daughter up the director stated they have strict rules and guidelines and since my daughter was in a daycare setting, there will be an adjustment period. Not even two days went by when they were calling me stating my daughter is not listening to the rules. Mind you, the rules are simple like no running, standing in line, and staying in the playground area. She also knew that me and my daughers father had recently gone through a separation of 11 years. Regardless, my daughter was acting up, like any normal 4 year old. Nothing hazardous or unmanageable, by any means. The director was more worried about how "expensive" the blocks are. The director is condescending and rude. Does not allow room for growth and will throw your child out if she does the slightest thing. Not to mention, they kicked my daughter out without telling me or her father. I dropped her off in the morning, and got a call around noon stating there had been a miscommunication. Well, there was NO communication because not once was I told she was no longer welcome. My daughter was kicked out for running in the classroom, telling the teacher's "no" and knocking down "expensive" blocks. In other words, for being a normal 4 year old, that clearly has special needs that they promised they would facilitate but never did. Do not take your child here. Not to mention they are grossly overpriced. I was told I should get a prorated refund but have not received a phone call about it. At this point, I'm not even going to bother speaking with the condescending director. The front lady is great. She was working with my daughter and I could tell she definitely cared. She even stated the director has a more "authoritative" way of running things. I witnessed the director be extremely rude and tell my daughter to basically go away because "the grown ups are talking". It is a shame that they did not offer the same care that were promised when signing up. They definitely do not work with kids that have special needs. Also, the director kept insinuating I need to take her to the pediatrician to get her on medication. I would also like to mention that she is now at Magellan Christian Academy and has NO issues, whatsoever.
