The Red Bean Green Tea Cake slice I had at Shiso Tree Cafe is one of a selection of Cakes that Bakery Nakamura provides to them. At Bakery Nakamura it is called Azuki Green Tea Cake and a couple quarters less than Shiso's cost($5.00). There are a couple tables for 2 to enjoy on the spot for the various Bakery items such as Cakes, Buns, Sweets.
The Azuki Green Tea Cake had moist Green Tea Cake layers with a light Cream and not-overly sweet Azuki bottom. White Chocolate shavings on top with a light powdering of Green Tea. One of the better Cakes I enjoy as a seldom sweet eater.
There's always some sort of Bun that is whimsical however it doesn't list the ingredients but then it's in a shape of a TURTLE or a Teddy Bear. The Bakery even during slow hours has constant customers making purchases. There are a few Sandwiches in one corner of the display fridge that screams Japanese style Sandwich but might need to ask for a re-heat for instant consumption.
I can't wait to try the Rare Cheese Cake.
