  • Stopped by on Saturday - being born & raised in TX I thought I would fulfill a BBQ need. Purchased two plates... Pulled pork sandwich w/2 sides consisting of waffle fries & the macaroni salad 2nd plate was a Sausage sandwich w/2 sides consisting of cold slaw & BBQ beans. 1. Pulled pork sandwich = meat was generous, tasty and flavorful. The BBQ sauce the provided added much flavor and was sweet and smooth - very good. The waffle fries were very tasty, not hot enough... I would have liked them warmer but they were flavorful. The macaroni salad was your standard "picnic macaroni salad" but had a lot of flavor to it. 2. Sausage sandwich = generous serving and also flavorful (crisp casing and not greasy). The slaw was a "no" not good - strange flavor, spicy cabbage. The beans were average (mushy from over cooking) but flavorful. Storefront was clean, quiet and almost empty (not a good sign or it could have been too late for lunch crowd - but on a Sat?). The staff was friendly, cordial and quick. They took my order timely and had it to me at the end of the counter and ready to go (and the order was correct). Pricing was average, after all meat is expensive no matter where you go and you are paying for a MEAL (with two sides). Overall rating... a 4 to 4.5. I definitely will come back here when I get the need for beef... BBQ beef (or pork) that is.
