Yet again I am dumbfounded at how long I've been living near something so great, yet had no idea it existed.
The Comeback is a fantastic consignment store. I made a resolution not to buy any brand new clothing this fall to save money and do my part to be more environmentally conscious. Because my fall wardrobe would be second hand, I was worried that would mean I wouldn't have anything that was really nice for fall - but this placed proved me wrong.
I had an armful of things to try on in under 10 minutes of being in the store and made a total of 3 separate trips to their easily accessible self-serve fitting rooms. They had a great selection of dresses, skirts, sweaters, outerwear and a very nice, very reasonably priced section of designer denim - like 40$ for a like-new pair of 7 for All Mankinds.
Every section ranges from very small sizes to sizes for the more ample woman, denim included. Store staff were extremely friendly and welcoming, inviting me to stop by regularly as many of their long time customers pop in DAILY to check out the new merchandise. I left feeling like I'd made a friend.
The pristine items that I took home were:
Saks Fifth Avenue cashmere/silk short sleeved sweater - 20$
Brand-spanking new blue Ralph Lauren button down shirt: 25$
Zara high waist black tulip skirt: 20$
Gorgeous little black dress from Talbots: 40$
If you don't live in the west end, this place is definitely worth the trek!
