| - Just no.
Yelp led me here with its great rating, especially for a buffet, but I will never go back nor will I recommend it to anyone. The ambiance and the service was nice, but be real- you go to a buffet for the food and with the exception of the taco station and the sweet potato tater tots, the food was not good.
I've never paid so much for a buffet so I thought surely, this place must be legit. But no. My husband and I are the buffeters who do it right and go for the good stuff first then dink around with the filler foods. First of all, there was no Alaskan king crab legs, even at dinner. Just snow crab. We got a plate of steamed crab legs and they were tasteless! The cold legs were actually better, but those were bad too. Not a lot of meat and no flavor. We usually shamelessly go through at least two full plates of crab legs each, but we didn't even want to waste room on these. Fine, we'll go to the next best thing: prime rib. Their prime rib was the worst I've ever had in my life. They weren't even the slightest bit pink in the middle and I like mine rare, but not only was it over-cooked, it was tough and gritty and after I took a bite, my mood was ruined and I lost all hope. The two main things I go to a buffet for were crap! We spent the rest of our dinner picking at and pushing around filler foods on our plate and left unhappy and underwhelmed. Were they having an off-day? Perhaps, but at $118 for two people, I can't afford an off-day and neither can they. Shame.
