  • I tried this place with my parents and boyfriend on a Friday night. The place was absolutely bustling. We were lucky to get seats even though we were walk-ins--in general you should probably make a reservation. Our first impression was that the ambiance was delightful. The entire restaurant--down to the patterned tablecloths, light fixtures, and the art on the wall--is designed to display elements of Turkish culture. We tried many dishes and loved them all. For appetizers, we shared the falafel and the eggplant/tomato spread. For our main courses, we got the shish kebab, adana kebab, and the special at the time: sultan's delight (a tomato-based lamb stew on top of a bed of creamy eggplant purée). For dessert, we got the baklava, kazandibi (milk pudding with a caramelized exterior), kunefe (a sweet dessert cheese with a shredded wheat crust), and some Turkish coffee and tea to go with it. The coffee and tea had a wonderful presentation because they come out on these special trays with special cups. All the food we tried was delicious, but I'd definitely say the lamb stew/eggplant special stood out the most--I hope they consider adding it to their permanent menu! To top it all off, our service was incredibly helpful and attentive. You get warmly greeted at the door. Our server even patiently helped my father navigate the menu despite his many dietary restrictions. Definitely try this place out if you're in town!
