| - Would I come here every year? No... but I'm glad I did at least once. It's definitely a party. Bring your cash though and be ready to give it up! Not all the vendors accept cards. AND soda cans and water bottles are $3 !!! A small cup of Dole Whip was $5. Anyway, that's what to expect.
I love the island variety of foods cuz it wasn't just Hawaiian. There were Samoan, Chamorro, Tahitian vendors... Some of those lines uuugh... I wanted to try the BBQs - smelled soooo yummz! We ended up getting Chamorro rice plates and banana donuts mmmmmm. Can't have it all the time :P sooo good!
It was suggested I try poi mochi. Darn had to get there earlier cuz the wait was over an hour! Bummz now we're gonna try and get one of the restaurants out here to just start making em to sell hahaaaa - thanks M's :)
Kids will love it for sure with all the rides, fun house, and games. Twas like a carnival. The shows are all day. Good thing the table seating was tarped or shaded. Good to chill, enjoy the dance shows, eat and eat and eat some more.
Parking was free so that's cool. Admission without a coupon was $8 this year not bad. It wasn't just food, rides, and shows. There were jewelry, accessories, art, and attire too. You don't have to fly to Hawaii to get a sarong.
