| - To remix the legendary "Spinal Tap" aphorism, Delux "does for 'the burger' what 'The Sound of Music' did for hills" - that is to make them bold, fresh, modern, and delicious.
Pros: Original, fresh menu - Great Beer selection (all microbrews from across the states) - Very stylish, vibrant, contemporary decor - and (an odd one) the bathrooms are incredible.
Delux boasts a fresh and clean aesthetic in the design of the space and the quality of its food. From burgers to sandwiches to soups, salads, and deserts, the quality and originality of Delux's recipes are evident from the first bite. Everything I've tasted here (on my numerous visits) has been unique, and most definitely "worth writing home" about.
Entrees are $6 - $10 and served a la carte (sans fries or salad). Fries are available (in regular, sweet potato, or a combination), and are $3 for a half order, $6 for a full (more than enough to share). Known for their burgers, Delux also serves many other sandwiches and paninis including a chicken panini, a grilled cheese version, and a vegetarian panini(chock-full of deliciousness). I've had just about every one, and they're all great. As an added bonus, the menu incorporates an extensive selection of beers from microbreweries across the US, along with a wine menu and a fully stocked bar.
But I think what really sets Delux apart as a destination more than just a place with tasty food is the design. Delux's design is fashion-forward, with a long bar-height table with diffused neon blue light emanating from it anchoring the room, repeating themes of mirrors and stainless steel, and numerous architectural elements to mirror and mimic the light around the room. It's design probably steals elements from several nightclubs and lounges around town, and translates them into a unique and chic hotspot for dinner.
Con's: (only 1) Delux is a small restaurant which fills up quickly. Can be at least a 10 min wait if you have more than two people.
