| - Coming from someone who has NO sense of balance, you KNOW I"m being truthful when I say that Lloyd's is the shit!
From countless birthday parties to countless leisurely weekends, I've spent a ridiculous amount of hours in this roller rink.
Picture a 1980s movie with diners and roller rinks. Picture people with 'dos like in 'Grease'. Picture the greatest music blaring while you go around and around. Picture Lloyd's.
I can't even roller skate and I have a good time every time I"m here. Most of the time some super nice person will volunteer to take me around the rink, and most of the time they will end up falling because of my clumsiness. But you know what? The people here are SO nice that they don't even get mad. They just get right back up and re-offer their helping hand.
The roller-skaters here are really considerate of the non roller-skaters. Usually the fast ones will keep to the inside and the slower skaters or as I like to call us, the 'bum skaters' (cause we're on our bums more than on our skates) stick to the outside of the circle.
And you know what rocks the most? The fact that in this day and age, Lloyd's is actually accommodating to your recession pocketbook. I mean, Mondays you can get in for $3, Wednesdays ladies get $2 off, Thursdays an entire family (up to 6 ppl) can get in for $10, and on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays the admission is $6 ($8 after 6pm on Fridays).
Take my word for it: Lloyd's has got everything you need for a good time. Rental roller skates/blades, great food, amazing music, fun people and an all-around fan-flippin-tastic atmostphere. What are you waiting for??? Let's roll.
