| - Worst customer service ever!!! I never thought I would have to write this kind of of review. I had called them on Dec 28th to book an appointment for Dec 31st for my mother and I, as this was my Christmas gift to her. They assured me they would be open and then proceeded to take down my information for booking the appointment. Great!
Dec 31st
10:30 AM- This is where the shit hit the fan. I called the day of to confirm my appointment as I forgot the time I booked. A lady picks up the phone and I gave her my name and my reason for calling. She goes "can you give me the time, there are so many names"...okay...I say "I don't know, that's why I am calling to double check" and so I gave her my phone number. She goes through the list and I find out that my name and phone number are no where to be found...
I typically wouldn't be upset but WHAT?!? Are you telling me if I had shown up with my mom that we would never have got the services done. At this point, I am annoyed and the lady goes "Oh it's busy, the other girl must have forgotten to write it down". Seriously, there is no way you aren't looking at the calendar and not write down the booking. There was no point in arguing, I ended up rebooking at 3:30 for two people and that I would want to have the mani and pedi done at the same time.
3:25 PM - I walk in and I end up getting frustrated talking to the lady at front desk because now my mom and I were being separated. I go "Why did you say yes, when it wasn't going to happen!!!" and she's like "we are so busy"...blah blah, then why would you book if you are at capacity.
We wait 25 minutes before I head to the front desk to ask how much longer and blatantly said "If nothing is going to happen in the next 10 minutes, I want a refund of the gift certificate I purchased".
The lady at front desk is like "5 more minutes, the client is getting dressed"...I could only roll my eyes.
Just to end this review, I didn't do the manicure because during the pedicure (which was poorly done), I was just too mad and was picking up on all the other crap they were causing for customers. For example, there was another woman getting a pedicure and couldn't get why her friend's pedicure was so quick.
Don't get Katrina because she was too busy handling other issues from other customers and overall, just rude. She actually rolled her eyes when the the other woman was complaining about her friend's pedicure.
I really was here to bond with my mother and I couldn't do that at Discovery Day Spa. It's unfortunate as I had high hopes for this place. I wont be coming back here and I advise you all to use your best judgement and pick a place less chaotic and unorganized. I felt more stressed leaving the spa than coming in.
**Please also read the not recommended reviews as there are reviews there that I wished I had read before I went...I did not see it because Yelp considers it Spam but it's not.
