The best part of the Wheat Sheaf Tavern is the location. With clubs and condos all around it, change is a matter of life in the area. The Hoxton across the street closes, yet life seems to go on as usual at the Wheat Sheaf.
I went for an early Sunday afternoon gathering which ended up ramming the entire back room area, with everyone having a great time. Most people were standing and milling around. The staff were accommodating and helpful, even taking group pictures for us which was appreciated. When someone said, 'Let's meet at The Wheat Sheaf' everyone knows it and nods. A true Toronto institution. Cheap Tuesday Wing night, Amen. Sports on the Screens, Amen. Super cold Canadian, Amen! at the Church of the 6ix.
