| - Roses are Red, Violets are Blue, this McDonald's is NOT the place for you, you, you nor me.
Long story shorter. My friend was dropped off here,after work, to keep me from having to fight the traffic after the Suns game last night (2/2/18). She called me en route and said to meet her at the McDonlad's in ten minutes. Distracted, the 10 minutes came and went but she called me hysterical stating she didn't feel safe waiting inside and was going to walk to the house. Mind you, it was after 9 pm and she is only 5'1" and 67 years old. Frantic, I apologized for being late and jumped into my car speeding to find her after pleading that she stay inside where it's safe. She said she "didn't feel safe" and she was walking...period. She was visibly shaken and hungry but didn't eat there for good reason. She said she literally had to step over the homeless and loiters to get in and once inside there was an unkempt woman talking to her and asking for money.
Needless to say, this wasn't going to fall on deaf ears and after fixing her something to snack on until we drove home, I stopped back in to Mc Donald's to speak to a manager.lol What a joke. The place was dirty and barely had any customers inside. I stood at the counter for at least two minutes while staff, including management, chit chatted about nothing! I asked to speak to a manager and two women ( Vanessa, at least that's what her badge said and the other girl had no name tag on) started apologizing and making excuses for something else negative that happened but unbeknownst to me. I finally had to interject the chatty Kathy's dissertation and advise "I don't know what you're talking about, but I do have an issue with the safety of this location".
The young Hispanic girl, Vanessa, only gave me excuses and attitude. She NEVER apologized for the fact that a potential customer felt safer walking home in the middle of the night than staying in their store. Vanessa had such a lackadaisical attitude I had to tell her about herself...calmly but passionately.
Basically, the resolve was for Vanessa to tell me that 1) the staff "isn't allowed to go outside after dark". 2) There "wasn't any homeless people anywhere because they made them leave earlier. 3) "Why didn't she tell management "? Seriously. This location makes Burger King an option...NOT. I'm sure after they spoke among themselves, about my tongue lashing, it never went any further. Look at the reviews. Clearly the owner of this franchise (it has to be because corporate would have been all over this and the reviews are for different years but same sentiments...this location needs to be put out to pasture.
If I had the same attitude towards my clients, they would die.
This McDonald"s needs an overhaul...ASAP!
