I went through a third party site because the rates were cheaper. They used Canpar to ship my furniture from Vancouver to Toronto. After the third party messed up and didn't send Canpar my proper information and missed my pickup, I called Canpar directly. I spoke to a lady who took my number. They investigated, and a guy called me back. He told me the street was spelt incorrectly, therefore they were unable to pickup.
As you can imagine I was pretty mad... So they created a pickup, gave me a confirmation number (instead of the 4 tracking codes I was given) and assured me it would be picked up my noon the next day. I got a confirmation call later that night, and the next day the guy picked up my furniture.
I was expecting my boxes to arrive 8 days later... Instead I got a call from my concierge telling me the boxes where in! 3 days early makes up for it. They brought them in to the concierge too. Very happy.
